ACTION: Pass a NYS Salary History Law and Prioritize Equal Pay!

States across the country have already passed laws to ban salary history and New York must be next. Use the module below to send this email to your NYS representatives:

I urge you to take decisive action to end gender-based wage discrimination by passing A5308 (Crespo) & S3692A (Carlucci), which would ban employers from asking about, or relying on, salary history to set salary pay rates. This practice persistently discriminates against women, especially women of color, who historically earn lower salaries than men throughout their careers.

States across the country have already passed salary history legislation and New York must be next. The legislature should take swift action to pass A5308 (Crespo) & S3692A (Carlucci), a measure that will help ensure that all workers in New York earn the wages they deserve.
