Take Action: Speak out for A Federal Equal Pay Law!

On January 29th, the 10th anniversary of the Lilly Ledbetter Act, Congress re-introduced a comprehensive equal pay bill: the Paycheck Fairness Act. Tell your representatives that although New York has passed important equal pay protections in recent years, we need federal legislation to truly advance economic well-being for women and people of color!

The Paycheck Fairness will protect workers from discrimination and close loopholes that allow employers to pay women less than men for equal work. This legislation is a much needed 21st century update to the Equal Pay Act of 1963 which will give it the tools and teeth to fight sex-based pay discrimination.

Please urge ALL New York representatives in Congress to support and push the Paycheck Fairness Act!

Send a letter to your Federal Legislators here!
