“I urge you to take action to end gender-based wage discrimination by pushing for a law that bans salary history in the employment process for ALL New York employees.

Awaiting Senate action are both Governor Cuomo’s Program Bill #20, which ends this practice under the NYS Human Rights Law, and A.2040C/S.6737A, which amends NYS Labor Law. Both would prevent employers from asking the salary history question and or relying on past wages to set future salaries.”
