NYS A5906 (Bores)/S5990 (Ramos) to strengthen and expand NY’s salary range law, are moving quickly through our state legislature as sponsors push to pass the bills before the end of the session in mid June.
We need to raise our voices. Tell your representatives in the NYS Senate and Assembly to act now to advance pay equity in New York by supporting NYS A5906/S5990.
This bill will strengthen NY’s groundbreaking salary range law and create real pay transparency by requiring employers to:
- Disclose all forms of compensation, including benefits and bonuses in job postings
- Provide compensation information to current employees, upon request
- Provide job descriptions for all positions
- Stop overly broad salary ranges
